About Bob

Things

Washing with Bob allows you to quickly clean the rectum and, using the special cannulas, also up to the last part of the colon (sigma-rectum), freeing itself from faecal residues. The perfect anorectal cleaning frees from the toxins present in the faecal residues which over time can spread throughout the body. It is therefore ideal for people suffering from chronic constipation, swelling or flatulence.

When can I use it

The use of Bob is not recommended in case of: Acute inflammation of the intestine; Intestinal bleeding, with discharge from the anus; Pregnancy; Inflammations of the intestinal tract in the acute phase in the appendix area; Recent surgery of the colon, sigmoid colon, or rectum; Colon, sigmoid or rectal cancers; Bleeding hemorrhoids, fissures and anal fissures; Drilling; heart failure; Epilepsy and psychosomatic syndromes; Abdominal and thoracic arteriovenous pathologies.

However, it is recommended that you consult your doctor before using Bob.

How long does a wash take

There is no predefined time, it can last two, five or even up to ten minutes, depending on your needs. Obviously this duration does not only concern the introduction of water but the duration of the washing as a whole which is made up of the colon filling phase with water, the phase of retaining the water inside (closing the inlet flow water) and from the evacuation phase.

For the first uses and until you become familiar with the use of the product, it is advisable to limit the washing duration to a few minutes and then increase it each time.

The water introduced into the colon should not exceed 1.5 - 2 liters per washing (bear in mind that with the tap fully open, about 1.5 liters per minute comes out of the cannula) therefore the filling phase must be very limited compared to the total time of the wash.

How often can I use it

Bob can also be used several times during the week, at any time of the day and does not constitute an obstacle to returning to normal daily life. Initially we recommend washing no more than 1 or maximum 2 times a week, in order to familiarize yourself with the product and its use. Subsequently, 2-3 washes a week can also be carried out.

I can use the cannula for multiple washes?

No, in no case, as the reuse of the cannula, as well as being unhygienic, could cause infections.

The rectal cannula is disposable and therefore should only be used for washing to avoid recirculation of faecal material: in fact, during washing, faecal material comes into contact with the inside of the cannula and therefore, even when rinsing the cannula, some everything for subsequent washes.
